Being there, done that – that’s how perhaps I would like to qualify myself after almost nearly three and-a-half decades in journalism. Starting off as a wet-behind-my-years rookie in the late ‘80s at The Telegraph Sports Desk, it’s been a passion which has taken me across some of the leading media houses of the country and finally to Dubai with Gulf News – where I was based out of for nearly 20 years.

Cutting my teeth by doing the rounds in and around Kolkata maidan to catching up with some of the global sporting icons like Diego Maradona, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer to Who’s Who of cricket – it’s been a long, long journey. One that was privy to the glory days of print to the relentless world of digital media.
